Karnataka Police has arrested another 2 Islamists in the murder of Bajrang Dal member Harsha. Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra informed that ” Eight arrests have been made till now. Till yesterday, 6 accused were arrested and today 2 more arrests done; total arrests in the case 8.

Till 21st, 6 Islamists have been arrested by Karnataka police in the Bajrang Dal worker Harsha’s murder case. The names of the Islamists are Mohammed Kashif, Sayed Nadeem, Afsifullah Khan, Rehan Sharef, Nihan, Abdul. Earlier police has made an arrest of 3 Islamists on 21st of February in the Bajrang Dal activist Harsha murder case and other were on the run.

 

While talking to ANI, SP Laxmi Prasad, Shivamogga, Karnataka informed that “total 6 arrested, 12 being questioned in connection with Bajrang Dal worker Harsha murder case. SP Laxmi Prasad also informed “There were few eyewitnesses who testified that Harsha was was chased and killed by the accused who approached him in a car.”

 

On 20th of February, a Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was stabbed to death near Kamat petrol bunk in the Shivamogaa district of Karnataka. He was a tailor by occupation and hailed from Seegehatti. Harsha was a member of the Hindu organisation, Bajrang Dal, and was seen sporting saffron shawls to demand uniformity in the dress code of schools and colleges.The Hindu activist was rushed to Mc Gann district hospital, where he succumbed to his stab injuries. A probe has been launched into the case. During the investigation, it came to light that the victim had received threats prior to his brutal killing. Fatwas was also given against Harsha and threats of physical harm was also given to him on 31st December 2015.
