Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, the Bhopal MP for the Bharatiya Janata Party, received a death threat via phone call on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at about 1:30 a.m. The caller pretended to be a member of Iqbal Kaskar’s gang. A video of Sadhvi Pragya conversing with the man who was threatening her over the phone has been surfacing on social media. In Bhopal’s TT Nagar police station, a case has been filed in this respect.

In the video, the BJP MP is speaking with a caller who avoids revealing his identity and claims to be Iqbal Kaskar’s representative. When the MP continually urged him to reveal his identity, the caller simply stated that he is Iqbal Kaskar’s man. Following that, MP Pragya Singh Thakur questioned him who Iqbal Kaskar was and where he came from. The caller, on the other hand, refused to disclose any information.

“You want to kill me?” Sadhvi Pragya questioned during the call. “Can you tell me why?” “Action has a reaction, and you will witness it,” the caller responded. “The reason for spewing vitriol toward Muslims is to attack Muslims. I was required to issue a warning, which I have done.”

“Okay, you’re going to kill me, no problem,” MP Pragya Singh Thakur responded. “But tell me what’s hurting you so much. Because you’re going to kill me regardless because of your beliefs. How would I know why I was slain if I didn’t know the reason? So give me the reason while I’m still living. If you had any courage, you would come up to me instead of calling on the phone and tell me this.”

Iqbal Kaskar is the brother of underworld don and terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. Iqbal Kaskar is a well-known criminal who is the leader of an extortion racket.

Bhopal’s TT Nagar police station has launched an investigation. “When the leader was sitting in her office, a call was received and one caller acting as a man of Ibrahim Kaskar delivered a threat call,” Assistant Commissioner of Police Umesh Tiwari told the Free Press Journal. He indicated on the phone that he is providing prior information about her assassination. The threat call was not taken seriously by any of the organisations, and the caller did not reveal the organization’s identity.” The case has been filed under sections 506 and 507 of the Indian Penal Code, and the investigation has begun.
