So called human rights activist Teesta Setalvad has been sent to police custody till July 1. Gujarat Police had arrested her for allegedly fabricating evidence, committing forgery and criminal conspiracy. The FIR has been lodged against Teesta Setalvad along with Sreekumar, and Sanjiv Bhatt after the Supreme Court dismissed Zakia Jafri’s petition challenging the clean chit given by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to PM Modi and others in the 2002 Gujarat riots case. According to the FIR these three had conspired to abuse the process of law by fabricating false evidence and instituting false and malicious criminal proceedings against innocent.

Teesta Setalvad is not the first one in her family who chose to stand against Bharat. She was just trying to give a continue the long lasting trend of her family of betraying the nation.

1 . Ambashankar Setalvad (1782–1853) worked for the East India Company.

2. Harilal Ambashankar Setalvad (1821–1899) was awarded the title of Rao Sahib by the British.

3. ‘Sir’ Chimanlal Harilal Setalvad (1864–1947) was one of the member of Hunter Commission which gave ‘clean chit’ to Reginald Dyer for Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in 1919. He was given title of ‘Sir’ in 1919 & appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire (KCIE) in 1924.  He was also a close friend of Jawaharlal Nehru. • Motilal Chimanlal Setalvad (1884–1974) was India’s first & longest serving Attorney General (1950–1963). All thanks to Jawaharlal Nehru.

4  Atul Motilal Setalvad (1933–2010) was a left leaning liberal Mumbai based lawyer.

5. Teesta Atul Setalvad (1962– ) is a journalist cum activist and married Javed Anand who is also an activist cum journalist.

Teesta Setalvad belongs to a family who have been loyal to Britishers/foreigners for last 6 generations and she has just continued that trend.Not surprised by her actions now. It’s in her blood.
