28-year-old Alok Pandey alias Shanu who was son of Rajendra Prasad Pandey, resident of Bibiyapur Nawabganj, had opened a Sahaj Seva Kendra in Aliganj locality of Manikpur. Next to his shop, Tabrez alias Tabu resident Manikpur has also opened a cyber cafe. Due to the competition between these two, there used to be a dispute between Alok and Tabrez. Alok had left the cyber cafe on Saturday and left for home on his bike at around 9 pm. When he did not reach home, the family members started searching.

He was found lying in a gravely injured condition near the Alapur railway crossing in the night. On being taken to CHC Kalakankar, the doctor declared him brought dead. Prima facie the police was treating it as an accident. During the post-mortem at around 5.30 pm today, it became clear that he had been shot. That is, he was shot and killed. Now the police is investigating who did the murder. The family members have accused Tabrez alias Tabu, whom the police is questioning.

Uproar at post mortem house

The family members of Alok Pandey demanded at the post-mortem house located in entire Keshavarai village, demanding that one person from his family would also remain inside during the post-mortem. If this is not allowed, they will not conduct the post-mortem. On getting information about the uproar, CO City Abhay Pandey along with Kotwal and Force reached the post-mortem house and explained to the people that a panel of two doctors would do the post-mortem amid videography. Police have registered a murder case against three named in the murder of cyber cafe operator of Pratapgarh district. Police is interrogating a named shopkeeper by taking him into custody. The police had taken Tabrez into custody on the basis of suspicion. In this incident, the police have registered a case of murder against three people, including Tabrez, on the complaint of Rajendra Prasad, father of the deceased Alok.
