An FIR has been filed against 11 individuals in connection with the forcible conversion of a Hindu youth to Islam in Hubballi city.

Police claim that Sridhara Gangadhara, 26, a resident of Yadavanahalli in the Maddur taluk of the Mandya district, was converted against her will. Mohammad Salman is his given name.

According to the police, Sridhara works for a private company and is experiencing financial difficulties. When Attaur Rahman took him to a mosque in Bengaluru in May, he had told him about it.

Sridhara was imprisoned at the mosque, where “Khatna” was forcibly performed and he was made to consume cow meat. They also obtained his signatures on blank paperwork pertaining to the conversion to another religion.

Following the “Khatna” (circumcision), Sridhara was transported to the mosques in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupathi, Puttur, and Bhuvanagar where he received Islamic instruction.

They threatened to convert at least three people to Islam each year, which he did. He received a gun, and pictures were taken. According to the police, the accused told him that if he didn’t listen to them, they would portray him as a terrorist.

They made a 35,000 rupee transfer into his account and told him to do what they were told. He visited the police station after being attacked by an unidentified gang at Hubballi’s Bhairidevarkoppa, where the incident was discovered. According to authorities, he arrived here after his female Facebook friend invited him to meet. Additional research is being done.
