The basic question that arises in the mind of a average Hindu after seeing the brutal murders of Kishan Bhawad, Rupesh Pandey and Harsha is whether the Indian State is failing to protect Hindus from “peaceful religion”? Is the Indian state kneeling down in from of Islamism?

On 20th of February, a Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was stabbed to death near Kamat petrol bunk in the Shivamogaa district of Karnataka. He was a tailor by occupation and hailed from Seegehatti. Harsha was a member of the Hindu organisation, Bajrang Dal, and was seen sporting saffron shawls to demand uniformity in the dress code of schools and colleges. The Hindu activist was rushed to Mc Gann district hospital, where he succumbed to his stab injuries. A probe has been launched into the case. During the investigation, it came to light that the victim had received threats prior to his brutal killing. Fatwas was also given against Harsha and threats of physical harm was also given to him on 31st December 2015.

Few days back Rupesh Pandey and Kishan Bharwad also had to face the cruelty of Islamists. Rupesh Pandey the only son to his parents was brutally murdered when he was going for Saraswati Visharjan. Similarly Kishan Bharwad, a Hindu boy who was only 27 years old was brutally killed by Muslims only because he shared a facebook post which was considered blasphemous by Muslim community. For sharing the post, he was arrested and moreover he apologized for his actions but still it was not enough for the muslims.Kishan Bharwad, a 27 year old boy who has a month-old daughter was murdered by Shabbir, Imtiyaz, and Maulana Ayyub.Till now 3 men arrested for the murder of Kishan Bharwad in Gujarat’s Dhandhuka. Cleric Maulana, is the one who motivated the other two to murder Kishan. He preaches murder for blasphemy & also provided weapons to kill Kishan. Maulana provided revolver and 5 bullets to kill the hindu boy.Accused said they killed Kishan for hurting religious sentiments.

Such repeated incidents against Hindus are making the community feel helpless because the state is not able to protect them from Islamism.Back to back such incidents are being reported. In ‘majoritarian’ India, Muskan will remain safe. Harsha will be killed. In this so called majoritarian India, illegitimate demands of wearing hijab in college and school premises gains more attraction in media than the murder of Kishan or Rupesh or Harsha.

The Chief Minister of Karnataka wrote on twitter “Deeply saddened by the murder of a Hindu activist Harsha in Shivamogga. Investigation is on and those responsible for this will be arrested at the earliest. Police officials have been instructed to maintain law and order and I request people to also stay calm.”
