In a shocking incident, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) revealed that funds generated from the smuggling of drugs are being used to sponsor fake journalists in Jammu & Kashmir during searches in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir in connection with a case involving the sponsorship of terrorism. During the investigations, it was found that some fake journalists in Kashmir Valley who praise terrorism and demonize security forces are being supported by these funds.

During their raids in Nambla, Uri, and Baramulla town, the SIA detectives were able to gather enough evidence to reveal this nefarious conspiracy between the drug gang and phoney journalists. Evidence uncovered throughout the investigation demonstrated that funds obtained from the export of heroin and other drugs were used to finance terrorism as well as journalists who supported Jihadi objectives.

A terror funding inquiry that was started at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and has since been transferred to SIA Jammu was the subject of the SIA raid. The Union Territory (UT) administration and security services were portrayed negatively by fake journalists, who also launched bogus narratives that glorified terrorism, according to evidence uncovered by the police

According to documents gathered by SIA agents, Jammu and Kashmir’s terrorism was funded in part by drugs transported across the border. It’s significant to mention that during the preliminary inquiry, the police already discovered Rs. 6.9 lakhs. There will undoubtedly be further operations to decapitate and destroy terror organizations present in the region in the coming days.

Additionally, during the raids, some people who were discovered to be connected to the financing of narcotic terrorism were detained in accordance with applicable legal requirements, and an investigation is currently ongoing to find out whether other people who are already under investigation are also a part of the nexus.
