In Hyderabad, Telangana, a madrassa teacher has been arrested for sexually assaulting a boy. The age of the victim is said to be 14 years. The 21-year-old accused teacher was serving in a madrasa located in Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad. A case has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act 2012 (POCSO Act). According to police, the accused has been sent to judicial custody after being produced in court.

According to reports, the victim was sexually assaulted for about two months. He was living in the madrasa premises, where the accused used to do abusive acts to him after inviting him to his room. The accused had threatened the victim with dire consequences if he told anyone about his act. Due to the threat of the accused, the victim juvenile remained silent on the crime happening to him for a long time.

It is being told that when the accused teacher forbade another student of the madrasa to talk to the victim, the teenager decided to break the silence. The victim’s mother works in the Gulf country, so he narrated the whole ordeal to her aunt. After this, the aunt of the victim boy approached the police station and lodged an FIR against the accused. The victim’s mother was also informed about this.

According to the police, the victim boy was subjected to a medical examination and the accused was produced before a POSCO court, from where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. The madrassa has become a topic of discussion among the local people due to this case of sexual harassment of the boy by the teacher.
