News agency PTI quoted a source as saying, ‘He was very actively involved in the communal riots and played an important role. Several of our teams were deployed in West Bengal and he was arrested on Thursday from his relative’s house in Tamluk village. He is being brought to Delhi by plane today.

Sources said that the accused had fled from the spot after the riots and since then he was constantly changing his whereabouts. He told that the accused was roaming from one place to another in West Bengal. At the same time, he told that since 2010 till now, six cases were registered against him under the robbery, snatching, theft and under the Arms Act and he is a history-sheeter of Jahangirpuri area.
