गजाननं भूतगणादि सेवितं
कपित्थ जम्बूफलसार भक्षितम्
उमासुतं शोक विनाशकारणं
नमामि विघ्नेश्वर पादपङ्कजम् ॥

I salute He, who has the face of an elephant, one who is worshiped by the Bhootha Ganam, He who eats the essence of Kapitha and Jambu fruits, He who is the son of Uma Devi and He who alleviates the ill feelings in us.
O Lord Vigneshwara who is an embodiment of all the above, we offer our Namaskarams (Obeisances) at your Divine Feet.

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभ ।
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा ॥

O, Lord Ganesha of the curved trunk and massive body, the one whose splendor is equal to millions of suns, please bless me to that I do not face any obstacles in my endeavors.

मूषिकवाहन मोदकहस्त
चामरकर्ण विलम्बितसूत्र ।
वामनरूप महेस्वरपुत्र
विघ्नविनायक पाद नमस्ते ॥

He who has the mouse as his Vahana,
He who always keeps Modhakam,
He who has ears that resemble a hand held fan,
He who wears a chain-like ornament around his waist,
He who is short in stature,
He who is the son of Parameshwaraa (Lord Shiva),
O Lord Vinayaka, who is all the above and he who always removes our obstacles,
We worship your Divine Feet.

Iksvaku said — I pray unto Vighnaraja with offering salute to him as Ganesa who is a great god and master of ganas. He is chivalrous and undefeated. He enhances one’s knowledge. He is three-eyed, he holds a trident in his hands, his eyes are of red colour, he gives boons, he is the son of Mother Parvati, his eyes are like Stipa (thin grass), he has reddish complexion, he holds a danda (rod) and he is Agnimukha, he favors offerings unto him and enables hurdles if not worshiped initially and first of all.

I salute the giant Ganesha, the son of Parvati. Who is always lovely but whose eyes are serious, who destroys the hurdles of his devotees, whose brilliance is like crores of suns, whose complexion is as red as the red coal, and who is sacrosanct and in peace. I salute such God Vinayaka.

Salute to Ganapati, the resident of Kailasa, as Giant as Meru Mountain and with an elephant mouth. O God Vinayaka, you are Virtipa and Brahmacari, devotees pray to you. You are frequently saluted.
