Bengaluru city police have suo moto filed a case and begun an investigation after individuals were found raising pro-Pakistan slogans in a group on the social networking site Clubhouse and being identified as being from Bengaluru.

A Clubhouse group was formed on August 15 in which Pakistan’s flag was flown, the Pakistan national anthem was played, and pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans were raised, according to the complaint filed at Sampigehalli police station. The police opened an investigation on August 17 not long after the incident was discovered.

The matter has been handled seriously, according to Police Commissioner Prathap Reddy C H, and attempts are being made to find the suspect.

He said, “Since the accounts were made up of nicknames, we have asked service providers for assistance in locating the suspects using their IP addresses.”

A police source stated, “The accused not only put up the Pakistan flag as their display pictures but also encouraged others to do the same. They also dared to investigate agencies to track them.”
