Put the flag of Pakistan not of India. I should not see the flag of India otherwise I will kill myself. With these undertones, a young man in Amroha took off the flag of India at the woman’s house and threw it. When the woman protested, he also beaten her up. The BJP’s name plate at the gate of the house was also broken.

Death threats were made. When the police complaint was made about the matter to the police, no action was taken. So she took refuge in the court. About two months after the incident, now on the order of the court, a case has been registered against four people including a nominee. The police is involved in the investigation of the matter.

This case is of Mohalla Haqqani of Amroha Nagar Kotwali area. Sujaul Hasan’s family lives here. His wife Mehtab Fatma alleges that the flag of India was installed at her house. She was sleeping with her family on the night of 24 August. Around one o’clock in the middle of the night, Arshad of the locality entered the house along with his other three companions.

He pushed Mehta Fatma down and said that I should not see the flag of India… Put the flag of Pakistan… If not, I will kill myself. The accused also broke the name plate of the Bharatiya Janata Party on the woman’s gate. When the woman protested, she was also beaten up by them.

The accused fled from the spot after the victim raised an alarm. Then the victim called on dial 112 and informed the police about the incident. The police reached the spot and investigated but no action was taken. Hence the victim took refuge in the court.

CO City Vijay Kumar Rana said that on the orders of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, an FIR has been registered against the accused Arshad and his three unknown associates under relevant sections. Further action will be taken after investigating the matter.
