Special dialogue on, ‘How long will singing Vande Mataram be opposed ?’

Vande Mataram was first opposed by Muslims in the year 1909. These people partitioned India in 1947 and went to the other country Pakistan. Vande Mataram is India’s cultural heritage. It should be honoured by every single citizen of the Nation. Else, they simply don’t have the right to claim to be the citizens of this Nation. Vande Mataram is a song that praises motherland Bharat (India) and those who oppose this song simply do not want to honour motherland Bharat. Opposition to Vande Mataram is opposition to the Nation. There should be an appropriate law to honour Vande Mataram. This demand was made by Adv. Umesh Sharma of the Supreme Court. He was speaking on the Online Special dialogue on the subject, ‘How long will singing Vande Mataram be opposed ?’

During the special dialogue Secretary General of Bharatiya Jana kranti Dal from Bihar Mr Rakesh Datta Mishra said, ‘Vande Mataram is a song that generates the feeling of honour for the Nation. Only those who do not have any regard for the Nation can oppose this song. The Nation should pass a law by which the citizenship of those who do not honour the National song and the Nation should be cancelled with immediate effect and action should be initiated against them. So also, the post of MLAs, MPs or whatever post they hold should be immediately withdrawn.’

       During the special dialogue, Mr Abhay Vartak, the Dharmapracharak of Sanatan Sanstha said, ‘During the their rule, British banned singing of Vande Mataram; yet, the revolutionaries sacrificed their lives for the Nation and climbed the gallows singing Vande Mataram. The opponents of Vande Mataram are speaking the language of the British. Vande Mataram should be given the statue of the National Anthem in the Constitution of India and should be given such a position that no one will dare oppose it in future.’
