ARE HINDUS UNITED?Continuing in the topic on falsifying the set Narratives … Today I shall touch upon one statement which is heard very often – “Hindus are NOT United at all.” Frankly I have not heard a statement which is more disheartening than this. I don’t believe this statement to be true at all. Why?
Have you heard of the Ashwamedha Yagya or the Rajasuya Yagya? These Yagyas were the best method for a King to unite all the other small kingdoms under his flag and establish suzerainty over vast lands. Usually it was only a noble, competent king who would undertake to perform this Yagya and anyone who did not wish to be under the rule of this king, would challenge him to a fight. If the opposing king lost, he had to surrender and accept the suzerainty of the Chattrapati (Emperor). Our scriptures tell us that usually the other kings would accept the king performing the Yagya as the Supreme Emperor and would avoid a fight. It was not because they were afraid, it was because they knew for sure that a more able person would rule. By the way, the Praja or the citizens would also abide by this decision unitedly.
When Chanakya worked hard to make people understand the concept of Rashtra and fight for their Motherland as one, who joined hands with him to make it a reality? There was initial resistance, but that was overcome in a way that for more than a thousand years after that, people remembered what it was to think as One Rashtra with One Sanskriti. Who were these people who joined hands? Hindus.
When Adi Shankaracharya worked hard to defeat the Nihilistic society that Bharat had become because of the Buddhist Sangha, and retaught the Vedas, Vedanta and other holy scriptures and encouraged people to come back to the Sanatan fold, who joined as one to accept Him as Jagad Guru and followed Him back to Vedic Dharma? Hindus.
When Guru Tegh Bahadur was decapitated and a challenge was put out to the common man of the land to see as to who would give Him honourable final rites, it was the Hindus (the Khalsa was not yet formed) who rose to the occasion and did it.When various kings, Saints, leaders, commanders like Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh ji, Lachit Borphukan, Maharana Pratap and others fought against the Mughal armies, who followed them without any motive other than saving their Matrubhoomi and laid down their lives? Hindus.
In modern times, when we fought for our freedom struggle under our great freedom fighters, who worked unitedly towards keeping our country as one and not divide it? Hindus. In recent times, as short as three years back, who brought back Narendra Modi as the PM once more after his successful first term as PM? Hindus.
Then why does it always seem that Hindus are disunited and are never working towards one goal? The answer is that unless Hindus are convinced that the Leader is Honest in his motive, they never follow as sheep. They question and argue till they are convinced that the path shown to them is one which actually protects their Dharma and their Rashtra. That is why whether it is the issue of Temples, Sadhus, or any topic of apparent importance, no one has the complete surrender or approval of the Hindus. This is wrongly taken as division among the people.
This wrongful terming of disunity has been repeatedly used to make Hindus feel that there are so many divisions among them that they can never think alike for their own welfare. If only they had gone to any village or to any big temple to participate in the Rath Yatra, they would have known that the division was only on the surface, not within. If only they had gone to take a ‘Snaan’ during any Kumbh Mela, they would have been convinced that the caste divisions were only tom-tommed repeatedly to make them feel ashamed of themselves.
Arguments when no one is clear about the topic, is common to the whole world and not just among Hindus. Fights taking place to claim leadership is common to the whole world and not just among Hindus. So then why do we fall into the trap of “Hindus have no Unity among themselves?” Make good leaders, have good motives and see how soon the Hindus join hands to work towards Positivity and Success. Vande Mataram.
