What else did Amit Shah say?
Union Home Minister Amit Shah called upon BJP workers to make efforts towards securing another victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This information was given by a senior party leader.
Addressing the concluding session of the first joint national executive meeting of all seven fronts of the BJP held in Patna, Shah asked the workers to gather support for Narendra Modi’s political campaign from weaker sections of society like Dalits, Adivasis and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) at the booth level. He also asked them to raise public awareness about support.
BJP’s National general secretary Arun Singh told reporters, “Shah asked the workers to dedicate four days from August 9 to 12 to spread the spirit of patriotism in view of the Amrit Mahotsav (75 years of independence).
“The party workers have also been asked to start preparing for the 2024 elections and ensure the return of Prime Minister Modi to power for the third time in a row,” Singh said. They have been given a target of winning more seats than last time.
It is noteworthy that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won more than 300 seats, giving its best performance. Singh said Shah also asked the workers to apprise the common people of facts such as the best representation of Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and OBCs in the Union Cabinet till date. The representation of people from rural background has also increased.
Referring to the election of Draupadi Murmu as the President, Singh said, “Shah emphasized that the BJP believes in representing the interests of all sections of the society. The underprivileged are finally getting their due, thanks to PM Modi ji for this. A tribal woman has risen upto the top constitutional post.”
The above points were included in the resolution passed on this occasion. Shah, who is considered to be the chief strategist of BJP, reached Patna this afternoon. BJP national president JP Nadda also participated in the concluding session of the two-day program which he inaugurated on Saturday.
Singh also said that the meeting was attended by more than 600 delegates from across the country including far-flung states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mizoram and Meghalaya. Responding to a question, he said, “BJP alliance believes in following coalition practices and inclusion. We will fight the general elections and 2025 Bihar assembly elections in alliance with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU (Janata Dal United).”
The ceremony was followed by a brainstorming session at the BJP’s state headquarters where Shah and Nadda met prominent state leaders, including party MPs and members of the Legislature.
