The demands for renaming Hyderabad to Bhagya Nagar intensifies after the tweet which was shared by RSS where it mentioned the term “Bhagyanagar” instead of Hyderabad. The RSS in its tweet said that a three-day coordination meeting will be held in ‘Bhagyanagar, Telangana’ in January 2022.

RSS official Twitter handle came up with a tweet that reignited the demands of renaming the city name from “Hyderabad” to “Bhagyanagar”. The tweet made by the official Twitter handle of RSS said “The Samanvay Baithak (coordination meeting) of the chief functionaries of various organizations inspired by the RSS working in different areas of social life will be held from 5th to 7th Jan. 2022 at Bhagyanagar, Telangana. – Sunil Ambekar “

During the Greater Hyderabad Municipal corporation election the demand of renaming Hyderabad to its original name “Bhagyanagar” was its peak. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath promised the people of Bharat that BJP will be bringing back the original name of the city if it comes in power.
