Sukmawati Soekarnoputri, a daughter of the late Indonesian President Soekarno and a sister of former president Megawati, legally embraces Hinduism in Buleleng, Bali Island.
In order to leave Islam and enter Sanatan Dharma , she underwent the ritual of converting from Islam to Hinduism. The ritual was held at the Sukarno Center Heritage Area in Bale Agung Singaraja, Buleleng, Bali.It’s the hometown of her grandmother Ida Ayu Nyoman Rai. Balinese woman Ida Ayu Nyoman Rai was born in Buleleng in 1881. She married Javanese teacher Soekemi in 1897. They had two children. The youngest one was Soekarno, born in 1901 in Surabaya. Arya Wedakarna said that Sukmawati’s move to Hinduism was her right to be able to return to her ancestral religion. Because, Sukmawati’s grandmother, Ida Ayu Nyoman Rai Srimben, is from Singaraja, Buleleng Regency, Bali, and is Hindu. She’s Soekarno’s first president’s daughter.
Daughter of Indonesia’s founding president is all set to do ghar wapasi as she’ll be becoming Hindu.The largest Muslim nation’s census was held back for a reason and it’ll deliver the biggest surprise to ummah and Indonesia will change for good.
