The poisonous “Shayar” dramatically fall ill after the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court refused to stay his arrest and also dismissed his petition. Munawwar Rana recently came up in support of Taliban and also made a statement which went on to hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. Munawwar Rana in his quest to defend Taliban said unpleasant remarks on Valmiki ji who wrote Ramayan. Munawwar Rana said “Valmiki was initially a dacoit and then he bacame God after he wrote Ramayan, Valmiki’s character changed with time likewise today Taliban are called terrorists but after a due course of time their character will also change”. The false equivalence drawn by Munawwar Rana made Hindus upset especially the Valmiki community. The Valmiki community organised a protest against his remarks and also a case was filed against him by PL Bharti who is the leader of Valmiki Samaj.

Munawwar Rana was admitted to the PGI hospital after his health deteriorated. It should be noted that this is not the first time Munawwar Rana has made such poisonous statements. During the France killings he stood up with the Islamist who murdered Samuel Paty.
