After PFI’s terrorist training camp module in Patna was busted, the NIA team raided Motihari. It is believed that the strings of the Phulwari Sharif case have now been linked to Motihari. Amidst the investigation, the NIA team arrested a person named Maulvi Mufti Asghar Ali.
According to media reports, Asghar Ali is a madrasa teacher. The NIA team on Tuesday night arrested 24-year-old Maulana Asghar Ali of a madrasa located in Kedarnagar, Mohabbatpur under the Dhaka police station area on the basis of suspicion of involvement in anti-national activities after a day-long interrogation. The arrested Maulana is a resident of Gaj Sisvinaya village under Palanwa police station area of Raxaul subdivision. Along with it, two other people from the madrasa were also taken into the custody of NIA. However, following interrogation, both of them were freed, and the investigative team travelled to Patna to question Ali Asghar once again.
