The inquiry into the murders of Dabholkar, Pansare, Gauri Lankesh are all politically motivated – Dr Amit Thadani, author

The investigation into the murders of atheists and urban Naxalites Dr Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare, M M Kulbargi and Gauri Lankesh are politically motivated. Devout Hindus have been imprisoned without any concrete proof. Charge-sheets have also been filed on them; however, the investigating agencies themselves have claimed that actual accused is not at all the one among those who are imprisoned and charge sheeted; but some other individuals. In all these cases, there have been a whole lot of irregularities – changing the accused, changing the weapons, and so on. Gauri Lankesh was murdered at night and assassins were wearing helmets; yet, Police photographed the suspects a number of times. How could the Police see the faces in the helmets ? In Dr Dabholkar case, it was claimed by the Police that they recovered a Pistol that was broken in pieces and thrown in the sea; however, what they found on seabed was a single intact pistol. Who then assembled this pistol on the sea bed? In a nutshell, till date, no agency has tried to carry out an unbiased investigation of the case and the motive behind these murders. The sole focus thus far has been on using these murders for political gains. This was stated by the author of ‘The Rationalist Murders’ Dr Amit Thadani. He was speaking during the release of his book during the Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav. He was accompanied by H.H. (Adv.) Suresh Kulkarni (Founder Member, Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad) Adv. Virendra Ichalkaranjikar (President, Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad) and Adv. Krishnamurthy P.

At the time, Adv. Virendra Ichalkaranjikar said, “Devout Hindus are branded as terrorists after the murders of the atheists; however, no one asks how many innocent have been murdered by the Communists. The Communists have killed over 10 crore people across the globe and the Naxalites have killed over 14,000. The Naxalites are the Communists and the Communists are the Naxalites; however, no one dares say this. This itself is the intellectual terrorism. Hence, everyone should display courage in asking question on the intellectual terrorism”. Adv. Krishnamurthy P said, “I am fighting a case against the Jihadi outfit Popular Front of India (PFI). Hence, I have been threatened; there have been life-threatening attacks on me; however, chanting the Name of Shrikrushna has protected me. Hence, the devout Hindu Advocates in the society should, as and when possible, chant God’s Name. At the time, H.H. (Adv.) Harishankar Jain also appealed to the audience not to forget those who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of the Nation and Dharma.
