More than 300 wooden Chullas(Earthen Stoves) out of 600+ have been vandalised by unknown inside Puri Jagannath Temple premises on 3rd April,22.The chullas are used to make prasad for deity on everyday basis. There are several types of chullas based on types of prasad needed for morning,noon and evening. After the incident the daily rituals got late for 4 hours.

Just couple of days back the Odisha govt. started illegal excavation of 30/40 feet deep with heavy machinaries within 40 mtr away from the temple walls inspite getting warned from ASI(No excavation within 100mtrs).The vibration causes multiple cracks in temple.There was no NOC given by the authority. For some vested interest of local MP of Puri, Pinaki Mishra has lied inside LS. He failed to show the NOC for new works besides the temple rather protecting the Odisha Govt.It is said by Puri locals,just to divert & save Pinaki Mishra some insider supporters may vandalised the Chullas inside temple.
