A 20-year-old Ohio man has been accused of kneeling on the neck of a young child after a photo emerged online.
The photo shows a man with his knee on the neck of a crying white child, with the banner “blm now mf”.
The Sheriff’s office said in a released statement, “Two divisions of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office immediately began an investigation to determine the location of the incident and the identities of the individuals involved.”
Deputies were able to identify the man in the photo. That man, identified as 20-year-old Isaiah Jackson, was arrested immediately for a Parole Authority holder from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
The sheriff’s office says the child’s mother did not know of the photo or the apparent assault on the child until authorities told her.
The child was transported to an area hospital for examination, however they did not suffer any injuries from the incident deputies said.
“Subsequent interview with the mother revealed that she was unaware of the photo having been taken, or its contents, until she had been informed by other parties,” Shultz said.
The child was taken to the hospital as a precaution but didn’t sustain any injuries. The boy is in good spirits, his grandmother said.
