The Congress government has yet again displayed their differential and discriminatory treatment of banning use of loudspeakers in places of worship in Rajasthan. The current BJP MP from Sanganer and ex-Mayor of Jaipur, Ashok Lahoty has written a complaint letter to the Police Commissioner of Jaipur on Monday for discriminatorily banning use of loudspeakers in Hindu temples in Sanganer while allowing to continue the use the use of loudspeakers 5 times a day in mosques.

Lahoty complaint stated that while the local police has forcefully bans the use of all the major Hindu temples in his assembly constituency, loudspeakers continue to be used routinely 5 times a day in all mosques of the area.

Lahoty further stated that this differential and discriminatory treatment of different faiths has created a sense of injustice and unrest among the Hindu community there. He demanded from the Police Commissioner a uniform implementation of the use of loud speakers in religious places of worship during the lockdown period. Either all communities should be allowed the use of loudspeakers or all of them should be banned from its use.

Lahoty tweeted his complaint letter to the Commissioner of Police and stated, ” Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has under the ruse of lockdown, in Bhankarota, Sanganer, used the administration to forcefully stop the use of loudspeakers in artis in Hindu temples, whereas just opposite to them in religious places of other faith, they are allowed to blare 5 times a day. People will not tolerate this”.

Congress government’s idea of noise pollution seems to reflect their idea of India, where Hindus have no right to practice their faith using loudspeakers in their temples but Muslims have a right to use blaring loudspeakers 5 times a day which includes waking up kafirs in wee hours at 3am. Some noises are secular and kosher while others are communal and abhorrent!
