Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday. After this meeting, Mann said that they discussed the issue of national security. He said that the Center has given us 10 companies of paramilitary forces yesterday for internal security in Punjab. Today we demanded 10 more companies, which the Home Minister has accepted. Bhagwant Mann told that the Home Minister has said that the Central Government will give whatever help Punjab needs for internal security.
Bhagwant Mann said, “The incident that happened in Patiala regarding law and order was discussed in detail. Rising above the party, cooperation will be given in the matter of national security.
Farmers belonging to various farmers’ organizations of Punjab are protesting for a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal for low yield of wheat and other demands including starting paddy sowing in entire Punjab from June 10. However, the farmer organizations have announced to withdraw the protest after talking to Chief Minister Mann on Wednesday.
Bhagwant Mann said, “We demanded anti-drone technology (Anti Drone System). He (Union HM Amit Shah) said that we will work together for national security. Many other matters including the issue of basmati crop and Punjab quota were also discussed in Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).
