Agnipath Scheme: Congress high command’s displeasure has increased after Manish Tewari’s refusal to sign the opposition’s memorandum to withdraw the Centre’s Agnipath recruitment scheme.

Agnipath Scheme Row: There is a revolt in the Congress regarding the Agnipath scheme of the Central Government. Congress MP Manish Tewari had refused to sign the opposition’s memorandum to withdraw the Centre’s Agneepath scheme. For which the Congress high command is said to be angry with Manish Tewari. In contrast to the party’s stand on the Agneepath plan, Manish Tewari has openly supported this plan, due to which there is resentment within the Congress. At the same time, the displeasure of the Congress high command has increased after Manish Tewari refused to sign the opposition’s memorandum to withdraw the Centre’s Agneepath recruitment scheme.

Let us tell you that apart from being a Congress MP, Manish Tewari is also a part of the Advisory Committee for Defense in Parliament. In the meeting of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee on Defense, there was a demand from the opposition to withdraw the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme. Of the total 12 MPs in the meeting, six were from opposition parties—Rajni Patil, Shaktisinh Gohil and Manish Tewari of the Congress, Supriya Sule, Sudip Bandopadhyay and Saugata Roy of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and the Rashtriya Janata Dal. (RJD) to Eddie Singh. All six, except Tiwari, signed a memorandum to withdraw the plan.

Congress is planning to suspend Manish Tewari

Due to this attitude of Manish Tiwari, the party high command is said to be very angry with him. If sources are to be believed, the Congress can take some strict action against him soon. According to sources, the suspension of Manish is also being discussed. Congress is also contemplating disciplinary action for not following the party line of Manish Tewari.
