While Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has been cheerleading the Bharat Jodo Yatra with undeclared Congress President Rahul Gandhi, with some unconfirmed media reports saying about Gehlot being the Family’s choice for a rubber stamp INC President. But this comes at a cost and the people of Rajasthan have been paying it. He has been ignoring his own state of Rajasthan where a grave epidemic has claimed the lives of thousands of cattle throughout the state. It is noteworthy that CM Gehlot has been pulling off his hands like his master Rahul Gandhi, whenever the state falls into a panicking situation.

On Thursday, the Center claimed that approximately 57,000 cattle have already perished nationwide as a result of lumpy skin disease, and it urged the afflicted States to step up vaccination efforts to combat the illness.

An infectious viral illness known as a lumpy skin disease (LSD) affects cattle and can produce nodules on the skin, fever, and even death. Mosquitoes, flies, lice, wasps, direct contact between cattle, tainted food, and water all play a role in the disease’s transmission.
The primary signs in animals are fever, drainage from the eyes and nose, salivation, soft blisters that resemble nodules all over the body, decreased milk production, and trouble eating, which can occasionally result in the animal’s death.

Parshottam Rupala, the Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy, spoke to the media in New Delhi at a press conference to announce that India will host the IDF World Day Summit from September 12 to 15, “Lumpy skin disease has spread in six-seven States, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. In Andhra Pradesh, some cases have been reported.”

Parshottam Rupala also stated that the Goat pox vaccine protects against lumpy skin conditions. The Minister urged State governments to expedite the immunization process, claiming that the “Goat Pox Vaccine” is “highly effective” and readily available.

Rupala added that situation has got better in Gujarat while this disease has been contained in Punjab and Haryana but in case of Rajasthan, it has been spreading in leaps and bounds because of no significant efforts from the state government of Rajasthan.

It can be noted that the state of affairs has been in worse condition, especially in Rajasthan where the administration has been more interested on unimportant issues rather than governance. And in case of any mishap, The CM of the state would question the central government when a crime happens in his state and pass off the ball in their court.
