Martyr Inspector Ashraf joins dozens of Cops & other Kashmiris who were killed after offering prayers or during prayers by terrorist mercenaries of Pakistan. On Friday, October 16th, after Namaz, Inspector Ashraf was shot dead near his home, by terrorists. He was taken to the hospital but declared dead on arrival.

The incident happened in Anantnag and took place in Bijbehara area of the district, a police official said.

A serving DIG Mohammad Amin Bhat was killed while he was offering Eid prayers in a mosque. Another retired DySP Abdul Hamid was killed after offering Friday prayers in Batamalo. One DySP was lynched in the holy night of Shab-e-Qadar. There are many more cops and civilians who fell to terrorist bullets during Namaz times in the last 30 years of Pakistan-sponsored terrorist movement in Jammu & Kashmir.
