Special Dialogue : Why is the Government silent on the atrocities faced by Hindus from Bangladesh ?
Presently Hindus in Bangladesh are being targeted by the Muslims with a criminal approach. By making false allegation that Koran or Prophet Muhammad are being insulted, atrocities such as demolishing the Hindu temples, denigrating Idols of Deities, setting ablaze Hindu localities, assassinating Hindus, so also raping Hindu women and girls are being committed. Such instances are increasing day by day. The Bangladesh Government and the Police have become passive spectators, and as a result, Hindus are not safe in Bangladesh. Hindus in Bangladesh have no guardians. If this continues, the old situation will resurface and there will be no Hindus left in Bangladesh. Hence, all the Nations in the world, United Nations and India should take initiative for protection of the Hindus. This earnest appeal was made by the President of Bangladesh Minority Watch H.H. (Adv.) Ravindra Ghosh, who wages battle for Human rights, while speaking on the online Special Dialogue on the subject ‘Why is the Government silent on the atrocities faced by Hindus from Bangladesh ?’ arranged by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
During this online Special dialogue, the President of Research and Empowerment Organisation Prof Chandan Sarkar said, ‘Since 2012 to 2022, Hindu localities in Bangladesh are being attacked in a much organised manner and the Hindus are targeted. The intention is Hindus get scared and flee Bangladesh. As a result the population of Hindus is continuously reducing. The Hindu population in Bangladesh that was 28% initially has dwindled to 6% as of now.’
General Secretary of World Hindu Federation Mr Dipan Mitra also participated in the Special Dialogue. He said that during the past few months over 325 Hindu temples, Shri Durga puja pandals have been vandalised. Hindu men are assassinated and their women are kidnapped. Hindus are deprived of their fundamental rights; however, the entire world and the neighbouring India are silent spectators to these atrocities. We desperately need help to put an end to the Hindu sufferings.
The East and North-east region coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Mr Shambhu Gaware participated in the Special Dialogue. He pointed out that even when there are slightest wrongdoings against Muslims, all the 57 Muslim Nations in the world raise voice unitedly. Even the United Nations and European Union support them. In that case, why do they not speak about the brutal killings of Kashmiri Hindus going on for the past 30 years and the atrocities on the Hindus in Bangladesh ? It is time all the Hindus unite against these suffering of their brethren from Bangladesh. The MP from Netherland Mr Geert Wilders through 13 questions has raised his voice worldwide against the atrocities on Hindus from Bangladesh. In a similar manner, Hindus should revolt outside the Bangladesh Embassy and thereby, pressurise them. Demand an explanation from the Human Rights Organisation and the United Nations .
