An edict on freedom of speech in Islam, from the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam says:
“Everyone shall have the right to express his opinion freely in such manner as would not be contrary to the principles of the Shari’ah.”
Despite of the truth written in bold letters for anyone who cares to read, a large debate is ongoing for decades among the defenders of Muslims in India, Europe and America, on Islamophobia. The non-believers or the Kuffar like us are taught that violence of all forms must be condemned. We are told that the good Muslims will never take part in acts which are harmful to humanity, because they are the ones who have read and understood the scripture in its entirety. To sell the narrative further, we are introduced to renowned Atheists like Javed Akhter and his Farther Out son to name a few, who are self designated legitimate voices for the logical Muslim. As soon as there is an attack on someone famous and enlightened critic of Islam, they know that they must immediately come out with a condemnation. So they manage by tweeting “I condemn the barbaric attack on Salman Rushdie by some fanatic”. Of course, the general public and the media laps it up, until an old tweet is dug up which reads “A Muslim psycho called me Rushdie n a Hindu psycho called me Laden’s follower. I must be doing some thing right to upset both the bigots”. The false equivalence, the shunning of responsibility, the shirking away from calling Islam and the scripture as the real culprit starts to float at the surface whenever such incidents take place. Many still choose to keep their eyes closed for the sake of general bonhomie, childhood friendship, Kheer and Kabab party on Eid and to keep alive the not-my-Abdul syndrome. For those curious to know what horrific lies the book carries, that propel dearly beloved Blackened_Jadu to quickly shrug the hem of his khadi kurta so that even the dust of those words dont stick to him, here is a synopsis of the book that I borrowed from renowned critic and writer Khalid Umar:
“Satanic verses is a fictional story of two men, infused with Islam but confused by the temptations of the west. The first SALADIN Chamcha survives by returning to his roots. The other, named GIBREEL Farishta, poleaxed by his spiritual need to believe in God and his intellectual inability to return to the faith, finally kills himself.
The novel features a Mohammed-like character named MAHOUND, a derogatory name for the prophet frequently used by Christians of past ages. It also includes a scene where prostitutes take on the known names and personalities of Mohammed’s wives.
Rushdie’s Mahound puts his own words into the angel Gibreel’s mouth and delivers edicts to his followers that conveniently bolster his self-serving purposes. Through Mahound, Rushdie appears to cast doubt on the divine nature of the Quran.
A key thread of The Satanic Verses is one of the protagonist’s failed assimilation into English culture.”
This is literally what the book is about. Now this act of an Atheist, ensuring to announce that he does not subscribe to a mute criticism of his former faith by another author is very telling. If people in important communication centres are not even willing to accept there is a psychological issue with the faith, then they either have political / leadership delusions or they are simply doing Taqia. I don’t know about you, but I will be heavily inclined towards the latter, as this person never said a word on the harrowing ordeal faced by Nupur Sharma.
Another important point to know and understand is, the famous Fatwa which was taken out against Salman Rushdie 30 years ago was by Iranian Shia leader Ayatullah Khumanei. Half of the Hindus who know a little bit about Islam firmly believe that Shias are the moderate version and tend to stay away from violence. Fools believe this even after watching the Muharram Matam every year where Shais are practicing on how to harm the Kuffar on themselves, so they are ready for it when the time is ripe.
The general approach of 99% of moderate Muslims, former Muslims, Atheists who were Muslims toward any attack by a Muslim is at best met with a vague condemnation of the act. Or in the case of Rana Ayub, we have inane tweets like “No Words”, “Praying that Salman Rushdie recovers back to good health. Waiting for updates”. They are sans remorse and reflection, so is their faith. The sooner all Hindus accept this and take measures, the longer they will all be able to live.
