A shocking incident has come to light through a report filed by senior journalist Swati Goel Sharma of the Swarajya, where a Dalit family in Bihar’s Kishanganj has complained against the local Bhim Army town President and his men of desecrating a Temple, the saffron flag and brutally attacking the family for not following their diktat to not worship Hindu Gods and respecting the holy Saffron flag on May 13th.
The local Bhim Army leader, Deepchand Ravidas and his men then very cleverly went ahead and filed a FIR through their clout against the victim Dalit Hindu family and a person named Amit Tripathi who helped the family members brutally beaten up by iron rods, bricks and stones to be hospitalised. Deepchand also invoked the draconian SC/ST sections against Amit Tripathi who according to the victim Dalit family was not even involved in the fight.
The victim Dalit family later managed to file a FIR against four men including the controversial Bhim Army leader, Deepchand. So, two FIRS were registered by the police by both parties belonging to the Dalit community. The first FIR by the Bhim Army men and the second FIR by the Dalit family brutalized by the Bhim Army complaining against the desecration of the Shiva temple by the Bhim Army.
Temple Desecration & Attempt To Break Shivling By Bhim Army Resisted By Dalit Family
Santosh Ram, a 28 year old Dalit filed a FIR against Bhim Army leader Deepchand stating that on May 13th around 4.30 pm a group of men barged into a Shiva Temple adjoining their house and tried to break the Shivling and demanded the temple be removed. The Bhim Army men were carrying iron rods, bricks and stones and started brutally beating up Santosh’s family with intention to murder them when they objected to the desecration of the temple. Santosh stated that they attacked his entire family including his father, brothers and sisters.
Based on Santosh’s statement, the police booked four identified persons including Deepchand and other unidentified persons under several IPC sections for rioting, rioting with deadly weapons, attempt to murder and sexual harassment. Additionally Section 295 of the IPC for defiling a place of worship was also charged.
Bhim Army Attempt To Murder Dalit Family & Jaw Broken Of Dalit Youth
Birendra Ram a member of the victim Dalit family, who spoke to Swarajya, said that two of his brothers Santosh and Guddu sustained very serious injuries. Birendra said that while Santosh was treated for his injuries initially and sent to jail, Guddu’s jaw was broken and he is still hospitalised. An X-Ray report showing a broken jaw is given below.
Birendra Ram said that the charges filed by the Bhim Army against their family was totally false, as they were attacked first by the Bhim Army side and the Bim Army side managed to file FIR against them first due to their local influence and clout.
Bhim Army Constantly Mocked Dalit Family For Worshipping Hindu Gods
Birendra said that their family was constantly mocked by the Bhim Army people for being devout Hindus and having faith in Hindu Gods.
Birendra reportedly said, “We are BJP voters. They don’t like this. They constantly tell us to join their outfit. They demand we stop worshipping Hindu deities and worship only Babasaheb (Bhimrao Ambedker)”.
“ We tell them, we hold Babasaheb in deep reverance but he is our ‘Kanooni Bhagwan”. Our “Sanskritic Bhagwan” will always be Ram and Hanuman. They abuse us when we say this”.
According to Birendra, on 10th May, the Bhim Army group entered the temple and demanded to remove the saffron flag bearing an image of Bajrang Bali installed there.
Birendra said that earlier he supported the group considering that they hail from the same community, but he later became wary of them due to an incident where he was asked by the group to break the Shivling to show that he does not support ‘false Gods’. Birendra said that this made him very angry and he left the discussion by saying, if this is the condition he would never support the group.
He said that the animosity built up when on 14 th April, on the occasion of Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, the Bhim Army group celebrated the event in a room adjoining the Shiva Temple by gathering a huge crowd of Muslims brought from outside which created a lot of apprehensions.
Birendra said, ” They had brought in many Muslims from outside. We suggested that they should shift to the nearby community hall, but they in turn abused us and told us to replace the idols in the temple with that of Ambedkar”.
Birendra said, that “An ugly spat broke out. All this has now culminated in the violence. We have been thrashed for our religious beliefs.“
Birendra added that he feels bad about dragging Amit Tripathi in the matter and the slapping of draconian SC/ST Act on him. He said, “He was the one who took the injured brothers to the hospital. He had nothing to do with the scuffle”. He also bemoaned that his own relative ditched him and his family as one of his own maternal brothers (Sunil Ram, one of the accused) is a key member of the Bhim Army who was involved in the violent attack.
Pertinently, the Bhim Army headed by Chandrashekar ‘Raavan’ though ostensibly a Dalit outfit has nothing to do with the empowerment of Harijans and the marginalised sections of the society. It is in effect a front outfit for the Islamist Jihadist forces like the AIMIM who want Ghazwa-e-Hind to convert India into an Islamic state by roping in gullible innocent Harijans by misusing Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s name. Chandrashekar Raavan and his outfit has a history of perpetrating violence, inciting communal and caste riots and accused of several crimes.
This incident in Bihar only reinforces that the Bhim Army actually acts as a hand maiden for jihadi-Maosist forces which aim to destroy India by tearing asunder the social harmony and inciting civil war by sowing caste wars. The Bhim Army attacks their own community members for not being swayed by their hate speech and venom against Hinduism and India.
