After stoking, promoting and politically motivating the so-called ‘farmer protests’ for the past nearly six months during a raging pandemic despite the central government appealing several times to end the protests in the public interest to avoid spread of the pandemic, the Congress now blames the farmers protests for rise in Covid cases in rural Punjab.

Punjab Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa in an interview to News 18 blamed the rise in Covid cases in rural Punjab for the farmers protests. On being questioned about the medical infrastructure and need for more testing in view of the increasing Covid cases in Pujab, the Minister said that the farmers returning from protest site in Singhu Border are spreading the Covid virus in rural areas as they are not tested before they enter Punjab.

Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa is a senior Minister in Punjab government with Rural Development, Animal Husbandry, Panchayats, fisheries and Higher Education portfolios.

Bajwa also admitted that Punjab’s needs to ramp up Covid testing capabilities. Two more farmers reportedly died of Covid two days back at the protest site in Punjab border.

Farmers from Punjab were politically assisted by the Congress to keep going to the protest site in Punjab-Delhi borders in shifts. The huge gatherings in border, living in unhygienic conditions in close quarters in tents at the protest site, has led to spread in Covid among the so-called protestors and when these farmers return to their villages in Punjab, they end up infecting their families and neighbours.

The farmer protests has proved to be great super spreader events resulting in devastatingly large number of Covid cases in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and UP as the ‘protests’ continues in huge numbers incited by Congress-Communists leadership along with incitement from renta-a-cause propagandists and mischief makers like Yogendra Yadav and Rakesh Tikait.

The Dainik Jagran reportedly states that Covid has been found to be in rampant in those districts and villages in Punjab that has sent a large number of farmers to the protesting site. notably, 58% of Covid casualties in Punjab are from rural areas.

Notably, Congress Government in Punjab’s earlier announcement of Rs.5 lakhs to the kin of farmers who die in the protest also gives impetus to farmers to avoid testing for Covid which has resulted in spread of the pandemic in monumental proportions.

The Central government’s internal report reportedly links the rise on Covid cases in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana to the “farmers protests”. The looming million dollar question is did the Congress and other unscrupulous opposition parties like the Left, AAP, TMC, SP etc. along with their card carrying members in the media and compromised “intelligentsia” diabolically use the Super Spreader ‘Farmers Protests’ as a Tool Kit to defame and destabilise Modi government which had controlled the pandemic well and even received global accolades for distributing the indigenously made Covid vaccines to over 95 countries in the world?
