An interaction on the topic ‘Present India from Veer Savarkar’s point of view’ ,
on the occasion of Swatantryaveer Savarkar Jayanti
Swatantryaveer Savarkar was a visionary revolutionary. After India’s Independence, he had carefully considered what India’s foreign policy should be in terms of security with the given situation in neighbouring countries like China and Pakistan, Swatantryaveer Savarkar’s role was to militarise Indian youth to secure the country’s borders. He went from village to village and did a lot of work in this regard. Unfortunately, the rulers ignored these thoughts of Swatantryaveer Savarkar in the last 70 years after independence. As a result, China has usurped the land of great India, which has a glorious heritage, and small countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh are raking up the faults and foibles, asserted the Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mr. Narendra Surve. He was speaking in the online special interaction on ‘Present India from Veer Savarkar’s Perspective’ organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
On the occasion, a well known orator and writer Mr. Durgesh Parulkar said, “Savarkar always gave priority to the interests and security of the Nation instead of his personal interests and this made it difficult for people to understand him. Savarkar used to say, ‘My friend is the one who looks after the interests of the Nation and my enemy is who causes harm to the Nation’. Every youth should study Savarkar’s character. The youth should study this for the salvation of the nation and not to seek his virtues. They should dedicate themselves to the salvation of the Nation . Learning from one’s mother tongue is a matter of one’s self-esteem and existence. To give up patriotism, love and loyalty to the Nation is treason. We should become self-reliant by abiding indigenousness”.
Adv. Shubhankar Atre, Secretary of the organisation ‘Itihahasachya Paulkhuna’ (Footsteps of History) said, “The youth going abroad like Swatantryaveer Savarkar should give priority to patriotism. Swatantryaveer Savarkar went abroad to expand the work of his revolutionary organisation ‘Abhinav Bharat’. Young people going abroad should use education for the benefit of the country while maintaining loyalty to the motherland. Hindus divided into castes should be brought together today. Importance should be given to the ‘Gharvapasi’ (Reconversion) of Hindu who are religiously converted”.
