FIR has been filed against Mahua Moitra for offending Hindu feelings with her comments regarding Goddess Kali. On Tuesday, Moitra on an event called Goddess Kali as a meat-eating, alcohol-accepting deity. TMC MP Mahua Moitra was asked for her response to the latest outrage over a film poster which filmmaker Leela Manimekalai uploaded showed a woman dressed a Goddess Kali smoking a cigarette and holding a pride flag. Mahua Moitra backed the filmmake by insulting Goddess Kali. She called Goddess Kali as a meat-eating, alcohol-accepting deity. FIR has been registered against TMC MP Mahua Moitra in Bhopal over this controversial statement of her on Goddess Kali. Case has been registered under section 295A of IPC for hurting religious sentiments.

Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the development said Hindu religious sentiments have been hurt by Mahua Moitra’s statement. Insult of Hindu deities will not be tolerated at any cost. It must be noted that Mahua Moitra is a repeated offender and she has many a times has went up to insul Hindu deities.
