The condition was laid that what story the journalist would do on the atrocities on minorities and Dalits in India, he would have to send a proposal to this institution. Then if the organization finds the proposal right, then it will give half the money of the grant i.e. about 61 thousand rupees to the journalist.

Big reward for publishing fake news

That is, the journalist will first have to pitch his story idea in front of this institution. Then this organization will decide whether the idea is right or some changes are needed in it. The second condition is that the journalist will get the rest of the money i.e. 61 thousand rupees when the news is published in any big media house of India. It is written in the guideline that the journalist who will pitch the idea of ​​the alleged atrocities on minorities or Dalits in India, will also put together a letter from his editor in which the editor will agree to print the story after completion. That is, not only journalists but editors will also be involved in the whole game. Due to which the guarantee of the publication of the story of the organization’s choice will be 100%.

Questions are being raised on this entire grant program for two reasons. The first and foremost reason is the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC), a grant-giving organization in lieu of writing news on the alleged atrocities on Dalits and Muslims in India. The Indian American Muslim Council was established in August 2002 in response to the February-March 2002 riots in Godhra, Gujarat. This organization continued to spread propaganda against Narendra Modi in the whole of America till the year 2005 and continued to demand a ban on Narendra Modi’s visa to America.

At the same time, since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, this organization has appealed to the US government several times to impose economic sanctions on India. In addition to appealing, the organization is accused of providing an American lobby firm named FGR and USCIRF, an international religious-human rights watchdog, to lobby against India for a total of $40,000 in 2013 and 2014 which is equivalent to more than 32 lakhs in Indian Rupees, which was given.

It is alleged that in the year 2018-19, Sheikh Ubaid, the founder of IAMC, on behalf of his second organization Burma Task Force, gave 2 lakh 67 thousand dollars i.e. more than 2 Crore Rupees to the lobby firm FGR. These money were used for lobbying against India in the US Parliament.

There are also links with big terrorist organizations

The IAMC has also been accused of colluding and belonging to anti-India terrorist organizations. Research firm disinfo found in its 2021 report that IAMC has links not only with terrorist organizations like SIMI but also with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. Disinfo had told in its report that Sheikh Ubaid, the founder of the Indian American Muslim Council, was the general secretary of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) in the 90s. ICNA is accused of giving money to Lashkar-e-Taiba to Hizbul Mujahideen and Jamaat-e-Islami and used to get their programs done in America. In January this year, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, former Minority Welfare Minister of the Government of India also accused the institution of having links with the ISI.

If we go beyond the allegations and go to the evidence, then the official website of this institution is full of propaganda that defames India. It is written on the home page itself, ‘India Genocide News’ i.e. news of genocide in India, in which the government of India’s ban on organization involved in riotous activities like PFI, this organization considers India Genocide News i.e. news of Indian genocide. At the same time, this organization is presenting the arrest of PFI members as repression of Muslims in India. There is a whole column on the website by the name of India Genocide News, in which fake propaganda of suppression of Muslims in India is being spread.

Fake tweets incite riots in India

Last year, the Tripura government took action under the UAPA for inciting riots by spreading religious sentiments and fake news on this organization named Indian American Muslim Council. In fact, at that time, this organization had tweeted and shared many fake videos from old videos to Afghanistan, telling Tripura. Along with those videos it was claimed that thousands of Hindu mobs are vandalizing Muslim houses and mosques in Tripura. After this Tripura Police denied the video, then this institution silently deleted all its fake tweets. But by then the atmosphere in Tripura had worsened due to the fake videos of this institution.

Not only in Tripura, but also in the riots in the capital Delhi in the year 2020, this organization did not leave any stone unturned in spreading fake news and tweeted with wrong information that the Hindutva mob of 53 Muslims had taken their lives in the Delhi riots. Whereas the truth was that out of 53 people who died in the riots, 16 were Hindus, including people like IB officers Ankit Sharma and Dilbar Negi. But this organization, which runs the factory of fake news, declared all those who died as Muslims and told the murderer to the Hindutva mob. 48 hours after this fake news was exposed, IAMC corrected its propaganda and tweeted correct information.

Agenda running on youtube news channels

According to Neeraj Saxena, a journalist who worked for 18 years in an English newspaper, the question is being raised on the first condition of this institution because there is a tradition of journalism in the whole world including India that the reporter should only own his editor or manager. Tells the story idea and source. Not to any granting organization or any other person. The Government of India has banned hundreds of fake YouTube accounts for the past few months, which used to run fake news on YouTube by posing as media channels.

The need of the hour is to crack down on newspapers and news channels in India as well as news channels in the digital space and those claiming to be so-called journalists. In fact, in today’s time, many digital websites are working only under the agenda and remain puppets of institutions like IAMC.

Trying to malign India’s image in the world

According to foreign affairs expert Robininder Sachdev, an organization like IAMC, which has been creating an anti-India environment in America for the last two decades, will prove to be a boon for them, because by showing these reports, propaganda will be spread all over America that in India. Muslims are being persecuted, ban them. Such organizations will also inspire American newspapers that minorities are being harassed in India, by making a report on it, big international media raids. Due to which there is all-round loss to India and Pakistan should be successful in its plans to defame India.

According to cyber expert Amit Dubey, today is the time to get information warfare and hashtags trending. This suits organizations like IAMC. By spreading fake misinformation videos all over the social media, not only are they spoiling the atmosphere in India, but as Pakistan wants, they are trying to defame India all over the world. Today there is a need to ban the accounts of these anti-India organizations and people associated with them and ban them in India. By creating fake accounts, these organizations start an anti-India trend, which tarnishes the image of India and Indians at the global level.

IAMC kept silent on the question

On this alleged grant of 1 lakh 22 thousand, people asked for a reply from IAMC few days ago, but no reply has been given to us from IAMC till now.
