Raman Kashyap who was a reporter assosiated with Sadhna news lost his precious life in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence which was unleashed by the so called farmers on Sunday.
Violence broke out at a farmers’ protest site at Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Keri on Sunday evening after some were attempting to block Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya’s visit to the area.According to Lakhimpur Kheri district magistrate Arvind Kumar Chaurasia four farmers and four others were killed in the violence. Union Minister Ajay Mishra has said that three members of the Bharatiya Janata Party and their driver, who had arrived to receive the deputy CM were killed by some elements in the crowd.
Pankaj Jha who is the editor of ABP news went on to Twitter to share this sad news. He tweeted “One of our companions covering the Lakhimpur violence is dead. May his soul rest in peace”. Many other prominent journalists expressed condolences for the death of a young news reporter. Within 5 days of Rakesh Tikait telling that they will take on media houses next, a young journalist was killed.
