Udupi is slowly becoming the centre of Islamic extremism in Karnataka. In a college located in Udupi, three Muslim female students at Netra Jyoti College secretly recorded videos of their Hindu female classmates, and shared the cell phone, according to a letter sent by All College Student Power (ACSP), a group located in Karnataka, to the district’s police chief on 21st of July. Students at Netra Jyoti College discovered about it on 20th of July and demonstrated against it, according to the letter sent by ACSP.
Three students who were in charge of making the recordings were suspended right away, pending an internal inquiry, after the college took up the issue. Despite the fact that the victim(s) did not want to make a formal complaint, the college still called the police because of how delicate the situation was.
Following uproar on social media, the police filed a FIR against the three Muslim women who were engaging in the illegal conduct as well as the college administration for not only destroying evidence but also for withholding information and documents during the inquiry.
