A heart wrenching incident took place few months ago when the maternity ward of a hospital was attacked and several newly born babies and mothers were killed in a terrorist explosion.
Akali dal leader Sirsa was also present there to welcome The group of afghan sikhs who made their way towards India as to be the permanent citizens. It also included Nidan singh sachdeva who was kidnapped in past by the militant group associated with the haqqani network. Apart from these people, another group of fled refugees are also expected to arrive soon.
