Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who arrived in Riyadh to persuade Saudi Arabia, has returned empty-handed to Islamabad.

He tried hard to meet the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, but this could not happen due to the conflict in the two countries. The Saudi Crown Prince bluntly refused to meet the Pakistan Army Chief.

Saudi refused to honor Bajwa

Not only this, Saudi had earlier announced to honor General Bajwa(the Pakistan Army Chief). The Riyadh administration also canceled the program. Exhausted, General Bajwa met with Saudi Arabia’s army chief Fayyed bin Hamid al-Ruwaili.

Earlier Foreign Minister of Pakistan openly criticized Saudi. Qureshi’s statement is also being publicly condemned in Pakistan. When Pakistani Media criticized and asked question on his statement, Qureshi had to run away from the media.

At the same time, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry clarified on Qureshi’s statement that his statement reflects the desire and aspiration of the people of the country to raise the issue of Kashmir from the OIC to the international level.

Pakistani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the people of the country have high expectations from the Organisation of Islamic Countries.
