Zafar Sareshwala, a former associate of Teesta Setalvad, has made serious allegations against him. Referring to this during the TV channel interview, Zafar claimed that Teesta was running her agenda at the behest of the leaders of the then UPA government. Along with this, Zafar Sareshwala also named Congress leader Ahmed Patel. Let us tell you that Zafar Sareshwala is the former Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad Urdu University, Hyderabad and Muslim businessman.
Teesta collected money from foreign countries in the name of victims: Zafar Sareshwala
Accusing Teesta, Zafar said that he was very much interested in getting money and fame. After the riots in Gujarat, Teesta took huge amount of money from abroad in the name of the victims. But he did not use the money for any victim. In an interview given to the TV channel, Zafar claimed that Teesta neither gave a house to any victim nor paid the fees of any child. On the other hand, Zafar said that Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Siasat Hyderabad and many Muslim organizations along with his family built more than 1500 houses for the riot victims.
Teesta used to work on the instructions of Ahmed Patel’
Teesta Setalvad has been accused by his one time colleague Zafar Sareshwala. Zafar said that during the Gujarat riots, Teesta used to work on the instructions of Ahmed Patel in the then UPA government. Sareshwala said in an interview to a TV channel that he himself had filed a petition in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to get justice for the riot victims. Zafar claims that Teesta was merely spreading community hatred in the name of Gujarat riots. Zafar told that when he came to know about the reality of Teesta in 2004, he said that he would not allow the Taj Mahal to be built on the graves of Muslims.
