In Haryana’s Panchaon, close to Nuh, in the Mewat region of Haryana, DSP Taoru Surendra Singh Bishnoi was killed after being driven over by a mining gang. According to accounts, DSP Bishnoi visited an area where illegal mining was occurring as part of a surprise inspection. But the mining gang killed him by running a dumper over him. The dumper that was used to kill him was also used to mine sand illegally.

No arrests have been made in this case as of yet. The DSP passed away instantly. According to the police, an investigation has been opened.

Haryana Police expressed their sympathies to the family and condoled his murder on Twitter, saying that he gave his life in the line of duty. No expense will be spared, according to the police, in bringing the criminals to justice.

According to sources, Bishnoi was acting on information about unauthorised mining nearby. When he arrived at the location, he motioned for a truck carrying stones to slow down. However, the motorist accelerated and ran over him, quickly killing him, rather than slowing down and stopping.

Earlier this year, Bishnoi was planning to retire. According to mining minister Moolchand Sharma, the murderers won’t get off easy.
