Four sadhus were attacked in Sangli, Maharashtra, on suspicion of being child lifters, serving as a horrific reminder of the attack on and murder of sadhus in Palghar. The accused has been charged by the police with violating IPC sections 323 (penalty for willingly inflicting harm) and 324 (voluntarily causing harm by dangerous weapons or means). 15 other people have also been booked as suspects in the case along with the five listed defendants. The sadhus who had already started their journey could not be reached by the police.
