While Pakistan is continuously seeking funds from the IMF given its economic condition, IMF is putting several conditions before giving loans. Recently IMF refused to give loans to Pakistan after seeing videos of marriage ceremonies in Pakistan. Not just in wedding ceremonies but also on qawwali nights Pakistanis were seen showering dollars on the artist.

Recently, Pakistanis have witnessed every gimmick imaginable, from dollars to gold coins raining, and one such event that became the buzz of the town had a businessman weighing his daughter in gold on her special day. Similar weddings and concerts are witnessed by the IMF.

Rattled by these videos IMF refused to reimburse loans to Pakistan saying that these weddings can alone feed the whole of Pakistan.
