On December 28, 2024, I had published Mahakumbh 2025 (World’s Largest gathering of Humanity) on www.kreately.in. It was  intended as a brief intro and was more like a Prospect. Those interested in a quick intro may see it there.

Prayagraj, a holy city in UP, Bharat (a.k.a. Hindusthan, India)  witnessed the Mahakumbh 2025 from January 13,2025 to February 26, 2025. What did the world witness? Here is a retrospect.

Mahakumbh of the kind world witnessed in 2025 happens in 144 years. It is determined by planetary position, not by a decree or dictate of any political or administrative authority. Brahmans – Source of Rare Knowledge and ideas

Who studied the planetary position cycles of 144 years? They were the Brahmans ( wrongly spelled  as Brahmins). Brahman is one who has a natural tendency to engage his/ her intellect with questions of origin of it all. Who created this world? What happens when this world ends? They identified  Brahma, the origin of all. They identified three universal forces, namely, Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh. Brahma signifies Origin, Vishnu signifies sustainability and Mahesh signifies Decay to recreate. Indeed, there is no entity on this planet or in the universe which defies or an exception to these three forces.

How unfortunate that there are some devilish minds who run down Brahmans and propagate physical harm and atrocities against Brahmans. An idea can change life. Brahmans gave invaluable ideas to society. You are ‘Atma’ and not just body is the most revolutionary idea. It turns ordinary into extraordinary in the face of an insurmountable challenge.

Do your Duty

धर्म एव हतो हन्ति धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः तस्माद्धर्मो न हन्तव्यो मा नो धर्मो हतोऽवधीत्  (Manusmriti 8.15)

This phrase is also found in the Mahabharata. It is mentioned three times.

In the Vana Parva (Araneya Parvadhyaya) Yudhishthira said:

धर्म एव हतो हन्ति धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः ⁠। तस्माद् धर्मं न त्यजामि मा नो धर्मो हतोऽवधीत् ⁠।⁠। – Mahabharata 3.313.128 Gita Press

He who sacrifices virtue is himself destroyed. And he that preserves it is himself preserved. I, therefore, do not sacrifice virtue, considering that if destroyed, it will destroy us.

This translation is from M. N. Dutt’s Mahabharata. In that book, this verse is found in 3.312.128.

Dharm is thus virtue and not religion as badly translated in English. By the way, English language can never match Sanskrit or Hindi to express as Sanskrit and Hindi have 43 and 38 alphabets, respectively, whereas English has only 26.

Dharm is your duty.

If you do your duty, it protects you (in your job and office, even in 21st Century, irrespective of location or place).

How sad that some pseudo social reformers burn Manusmriti ever since Dr Ambedkar burnt a copy in 1927.

Brahmans gave the idea that all animates on this planet are made of 5 elements of Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Ether. Charvak talked of 4 only. He excluded Ether. But planetary positions in space impact life on our planet. Mahakumbh 2025 is the handy evidence. We saw 65 crore people voluntarily visiting Prayagraj. We saw Nagas.

Naga Sadhu- The Defenders of Hindu Dharma                                                                                                                                          

The Mahakumbh 2025 introduced the world to Naga sadhus. Naga Sadhus are lifelong soldiers of the Hindu Dharma (a.k.a. Sanatan Dharma). They were initiated and organized by Adiguru  Shankaracharya.   Adiguru Shankaracharya propagated ‘Advait’; meaning you are atma and not body, exactly as Lord Krishna had described atma vs body in Bhagvad Gita. No surprise, Naga sadhus originally initiated and organized by Adiguru Shakaracharya, never cared for bodily comforts.  Naga means rock solid, unwavering  commitment to protect Hindu Dharma. Their unique strength is dharma before self. The Mahakumbh 2025 has adequately taught the world that Naga is not Nanga (naked).  Naga means rock solid in resolve and action. They deserve respect and salute of every Hindu.

Hindu Solidarity

The Mahakumbh 2025 has demonstrated the Hindu solidarity and power. Despite diversity, Hindus are one. Those who have been in the business of ruling Hindus by dividing them on caste, etc.,  are given a tight slap. Hindus are great philanthropists. Hindus have no caste discrimination. They walked together. They bathed together. They ate together. They worshipped together.  They worshipped Mata Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati in Prayagraj. They worshiped Shiv in Kashi. They worshipped Prabhu Ram Chandra in Ayodhya and Lord Krishan in Mathura.

Anti- Hindu Forces are at Back Foot

All anti- hindu forces in the country and outside now see the power and solidarity of Hindus. Those radical muslims who used to say, 15 minute ke liye police hata lo, phir dikhatain hain (remove police for 15 minutes, we can teach hindus a lesson) have learnt the lesson, these hindus are rock solid, they did not convert by fear of sword of the muslim rulers like Akbar and Aurangzeb or bribery  of Christian missionaries.

Anti- Hindu forces losing ground

Not only anti-hindu forces are on back foot, they are losing ground. Talking non-sense is the last thing they can do. Some said, Mahakumbh waters are impure and unhealthy. They don’t have common sense that flowing water is being constantly replaced. It is not a land locked lake.

Some said, will their sins wash by taking dip. Man is the child of the environment. When environment is full of mutual care and support, ego is minimal. Ego is the mother of all sins. Since devotees live there and take dip devoid of ego, their sins are certainly washed.

Will Mahakumbh remove poverty? For sure. The economic contribution of Mahakumbh is close to 65  crore visitors (650 million visitors) multiplied by INR 5000 each on average, that is in billions and that is shared by small business. Monalisa can be a case study.

30 Pilgrims lost their lives

In the Mahakumbh 2025, 30 pilgrims lost their lives during stampede. It is very unfortunate. And Lesson has been learnt. There should always be two separate corridors for going to and returning from a spot of interest.

Hindu Rashtra (Hindusthan)

Many leaders of modern Hindu society have been working for and demanding declaration of India as Hindu Rashtra.

The Mahakumbh has proved beyond doubt that Bharat is Hindu Rashtra, better said: HINDUSTHAN.

The Constitution of India in Article 1 states, India, that is Bharat. When India was divided on religious basis in 1947, it was divided between Pakistan and Hindusthan (wrongly spelled as Hindustan).

The origin of the word Hindusthan is available in the Sanskrit shloka from the Barhaspatya Samhita of the Rigveda (ca. 1700-1100 BCE):

हिमालयं समारभ्य यावदिंदुसरोवरम् ।
तं देवनिर्मितं देशं हिंदुस्थानं प्रचक्ष्यते ।।
“The land created by the gods which stretched from the Himalayas to the Indu ocean (in the south, today know as Hind Mahasagar) is called Hindusthan.”

Mohammed Iqbal, had written in 1904, wrote Katju, “Hindi hain hum watan hain Hindostan Hamara.” We are Hindi and our motherland is Hindostan.”

In 1905, Iqbal was offered scholarship by English to pursue higher studies in England. There he became an ideologue of Pakistan and the partition of his ‘watan- Hindostan” on religious basis. (Scholarship by English has been the most noble form of bribe and corruption, someone said).

The declaration of India as Hindu Rashtra or Hindusthan is a mere formality. Replace India by Hindusthan in all government documents and communications for all the reasons given above.
