Sivanadiyar Thavatthiru Saravanan, a Hindu preacher from Puliyampatti area under the Thevur town panchayat police station in Salem district, has been performing Shiva pujas in the area, offering blessings and worshipping the people in a spiritual way.

Sivanadiyar Saravanan claimed that the Thevur police sub-inspector Mr. Anthony Michaelraj beat and tortured him by speaking inappropriate words, which caused him physical pain and humiliation and mental distress. So the whole reason for his death was Anthony and Sivanadiar gave a confession before his suicide and posted a video and it is spreading fast on social media.
The Sivanadiar’s family also claimed that he had injuries on his body and that Anthony’s torture was the cause of his death. Therefore, according to the source given before the death of Sivanadiyar Saravanan, a murder case should be registered against Anthony Michaelraj. The case should be investigated by the CBCID under the supervision of the court.
The government should provide compensation of 25 lakh rupees to the Sivanadiar Saravanan’s family and employment to one person. Immediate action must be taken with regard to this case in the like manner of the Saathankulam case.

All political parties and the media should give voice to this and appeal to the Tamil Nadu government to seek justice for Sivanadiar’s death.
