While Texas is under unusual tension due to a horrific incident that happened two days before in which a gunman barged into an elementary school and opened fire, President Joe Biden is all set to appear for K-pop stars.

A total of 18 children were killed in the incident and three adults. The 18-year old gunman killed his own grandmother before executing this terrifying act. Following the horrific school shootings, President Joe Biden addressed the country. To honour the victims of these “senseless acts of violence,” he has ordered that US flags on federal grounds be flown at half-staff until sunset on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Biden will welcome the global musical sensation and “examine Asian inclusion and representation, as well as anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination, which have become more prevalent topics in recent years.”

The White House press release states that the “global k-pop phenomenon and grammy nominated group from the Republic of Korea BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan or “beyond the scene) will join President Biden to discuss Asian inclusion and representation and to address anti-Asian hate crimes.”

Recently, President Biden opened up on the the Texas School shooting and said, ” I had hoped when I became president I would not have to do this — again. Another massacre. Uvalde, Texas. An elementary school. Beautiful, innocent second, third and fourth graders. And how many scores of little children who witnessed what happened — see their friends die, as if they’re in a battlefield, for God’s sake. They’ll live with it the rest of their lives.”

President Biden further remarked, “when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? When in God’s name will we do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?.”
