Yesterday, on 3rd November the results of Bypoll elections came out where BJP clean sweeped Assam under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma taking all the 5 seats that were fought.

This win of BJP in Assam not only tells us about the leadership qualities of Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma but also indicates the importance of Hindutva in this new India in elections. Himanta Biswa Sarma has always hold Hindutva close to his heart and this can be considered as the prime factor behind BJP’s capture of all the 5 seats whereas secular BJP got wiped out against Indian National Congress because of its way too much leads commitment for Hindutva. Himanta Biswa Sarma worked for Hindus and Hindus payed him with their votes. Himanta worked in thrashing Illegal immigrants and in controlling cattle slaughter.

After the win Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his happiness. He said “We won all 5 seats with a huge margin. Today’s electoral victory in Assam isn’t an ordinary victory as in every seat we won by a margin higher than in general elections.People of North East have reposed their faith in leadership of PM Modi. Bharatiya Janata Party is now a national party. It is no longer confined to 5-6 states. It is capable to win elections from any state”.

It needs to be noted that Congress has reduced to third position in Assam by polls.Allying with AIUDF has costed all its core votes. All the anti-BJP Assamese votes shifted to Rajjor Dal while minority votes going to AIUDF leaving barely anything for them.
