The Editors Guild of India and other Hinduphobic organisations in their utter disdain towards Hindu customs and traditions, insist on calling the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath by his pre-Sanynas birth name Ajay Mohan Bhist in their formal official press releases.
The same Editors Guild go gaga on addressing the Vatican State head as Pope Fracis, they also have no qualms that an Islamic Mufti, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed was a Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir. But the Editors Guild filled with Hindu hating journalists and headed by Seema Mustafa deny Yogi Adityanth his religious rights and insist on calling him by his birth name in their official communique.
Yogi Adityanath, was born as Ajay Mohan Bhist in Uttarkhand and at the age of 21, he chose to don the saffron robes and took Sanyas in 1993. The Nath Sampradaya Gorakhnath Peeth Mahant, Avaidyanath gave him ‘Deeksha’ and he was given a new name, Adityanath. Henceforth, all official documents bore his name as Adityanath as S/O Mahanth Avaidyanath.
According to Hindu tradition and culture anyone who takes Sanyas, is considered to have a new birth with a new name and completely cut off from the family of birth.
Yogi Adityanath has been a five time MP since 1998 with all his Lok Sabha records showing his name as Shri Yogi Adityanath. But the Editors Guild of India insist very obdurately with utter disregard to religious choices and legal change of name to refer to Yogi with his birth name.
Well, the Editors Guild was trying to support the case of an Islamist PFI member, Siddique Kappan and alleged journalist, who has been booked under NSA and also under the scanner of NIA for his links with jihadi terrorists.
On Apri 26th, the Editors Guild wrote to the UP CM to provide the controversial Islamist, Kappan in judicial custody medical facilities and treatment for Corona. The press release of the Editors Guild mentions, “The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Ajay Mohan Bhist…”.
Referring to Yogi as Ajay Mohan Bhist is in contravention to law as the official releases should bear the official name and designations and cannot be written according to the whims and fancies of the Hinduphobic “journalists” in the Editors Guild of India.
