A group of LGBTQ activists shared a story in their Instagram page where they asked people not to be afraid in abusing or commenting bad against late CDS Bipin Rawat who unfortunately died in a helicopter crash.

The name of the group is “Yes we exist”. The story said “If someone is threatening you with police complaints, or any other form of threats for calling the former Defence Chief homophobic, don’t be scared!!!,” the LGBTQ activist community said in a post on Instagram, adding, “It is not a crime to criticise a living or deceased Defence Chief in India.”The story further added “There are several news articles that have called him sexist in the past and criticised him for his other deeds. You are not the only one,”.

Terrible and tragic incident took place for Bharat. Indian Air Force (IAF) Mi-17V5 helicopter, with CDS Gen Bipin Rawat on board, met with an accident yesterday near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. 13 out of 14 passengers in the helicopter could not survive the incident which included CDS Gen Bipin Rawat.

CDS Bipin Rawat, his staff and some family members were in the Mi-series chopper that crashed between Coimbatore and Sulur in Tamil Nadu.CDS Bipin Rawat was en route to Wellington in Coonoor from the Indian Air Force base in Sulur near Coimbatore, as per sources. He left Delhi for Sulur earlier on Wednesday. Visuals from the site of the Indian Air Force helicopter crash showed massive flames and locals too helped in the rescue operation.
