The murtis which were stolen from Bharat long time ago are coming back to Bharat due to persistent efforts of the BJP government led by Bhartiya Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These murtis carry the legacy of our great ancient Bhartiya civilization which are priceless. While only 13 such murtis were brought back from abroad till 2013, their numbers have since swelled to over 200 after the coming of BJP government at the centre.

Recently Australia returned 29 murtis ahead of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s virtual meet with Modi ji. PM Modi inspected the 29 antiquities which have been repatriated to India by Australia. The antiquities range in 6 broad categories as per themes – Shiva and his disciples, Worshipping Shakti, Lord Vishnu and his forms, Jain tradition, portraits and decorative objects. Ahead of India Australia virtual summit. These antiquities come from different time periods, with some dating to 9-10 century CE.
