Everyone must have seen the ludicrous dance of Sanjukta Basu which might have spoilt the good going day of many. Everyone must have imagined the helplessness of Sanjukta Basu and her fellow friends that made them perform this risible and ludicrous dance in Shaheen Bagh during the protests against Citizenship Amendment Act but the reason behind this has now came out in the public domain.

Yesterday, NCB raided Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar and made massive Heroin haul. In one of the biggest hauls in recent times, NCB seized 50 Kg High Quality Heroin, 47 Kg suspected narcotics, 30 lacs drug money in cash, cash counting machines etc from a residential premises in Jamia. This is probably the reason why Shaheen bagh Activists never wanted police to enter the area.

SK Singh, Dy DG (Operations), NCB informed “We received input from a liable source that a huge amount of heroin is stored in an apartment in Shaheen Bagh. Our team searched the apartment to recover 50kg of heroin, 47kg of suspected narcotics, Rs 30 lakhs in cash & a note-counting machine. We registered the case & arrested a person, soon more will be apprehended. The initial probe shows that a huge international syndicate is behind this, operating from Dubai with Indian, Pakistani & Afghani nationals.They smuggle from abroad, manufacture it here; the supply is to Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Uttarakhand via sea route & land border i.e Attari-Wagah border. They also mix it with legal goods being imported from Afghanistan, Pakistan. Many people have been identified, searches are underway at various locations – Uttarakhand, UP, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi. There is no terror angle in this, yet… we’ll request countries & prepare an extradition proposal for the accused living abroad.
